Data Analysis Functions

By GPU-accelerated machine-vision algorithms developed by our own, DynaPlant® can automatically analyze massive amounts of image data, and output statistical results and charts. Multiple growth parameters can be quantified currently.

Seed Germination

DynaPlant® trained a model to determine the time of germination based on the time-lapse images before and after germination, and outputs the accumulative germination rate curve.

Growth Rate and Bending Rate of Roots

DynaPlant® software can extract the outline of the root tips to accurately measure the length of the main root. Our accuracy ensures the low error when calculating the change of growth rate in minutes. DynaPlant® is capable to reveal the kinetics of transient growth change caused by light or ethylene.

Growth Rate and Bending Rate of Hypocotyls

On the basis of the measuring approach for main roots, we developed an algorithm to track the apical meristem so as to measure the length of hypocotyls automatically. The accuracy of the measurements reaches 0.1 μm/min, providing sufficient capability to distinguish the subtle difference among various genotypes.

Curvature and Changing Rate of Apical Hooks

DynaPlant® can retrieve accurate results for the changing rate of curvature with the help of high-quality raw data. The changing rate goes ahead of the cumulative curvature and correlates with the endogenous driving force of growth regulation more directly, suggesting a more intuitive parameter to describe biological processes.

Distribution and Growth Rate of Root Hairs

DynaPlant® can extract and track the root hairs from the time-lapse data and quantify the following parameters: (1) time of root hair initiation; (2) distance to root tip when initiation; (3) growth rate of root hairs; (4) max length of root hairs.

Intensity of Chemiluminiscence

Quantification of intensity can be performed to the time-lapsed data. DynaPlant® can output pseudo-color images to visualize the intensity distribution, or charts to demonstrate the trend of reporter gene expression level.
